My mission is to help area shelters by
fostering and placing local
bully breed dogs who are loving, loyal and misunderstood, freeing up
space and resources so that they can take in and place more animals
without having to resort to euthanasia - in memory of JACKSON. I am a
very small, privately funded rescue trying to make a difference - one
dog at a time. All my dogs are vaccinated, spayed and neutered, micro
chipped, vet checked and housebroken. I teach them basic obedience and
to be a loving member of the family.
While my heart still belongs to the BULLIES and give them priority - we have been overwhelmed with need for other types of dogs and for cats.
So we have decided, at least for now, to not be bully exclusive - this is why you will see other available dogs and cats on our page.

BULLY BREEDS ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE
When
you adopt a pit bull, you adopt the most energetic, intelligent, and
loyal friend you’ll ever have, but you also take up a responsibility to
represent the entire breed. Pit
bulls are wonderful, loving animals that deserve the chance to have a
good life.
Please research the breed you intend to adopt, no matter what the breed, if you have not already had prior experience dealing with them.
Pit Bull Rescue Central , Bad Rap and
Animal Farm Foundation are perfect places to get all the information you need regarding Bullies.
A properly socialized, well managed pit bull should never have to get into a dogfight, because he's accustomed to the presence of other dogs and - IMPORTANT!- he has a smart and responsible owner willing to keep him safe from situations that could invite the unhappy possibility of a scuffle.

General Information about Bully Breed Dogs
*”Pit bull” is NOT a breed. It's a generic term often used to describe all dogs with similar traits and characteristics known to the public as "pit bulls." When we use the term “pit bull” here, it should be understood to encompass American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
This is basic breed information for
anyone interested in acquiring a pit bull,* for those who already
have one or more and would like to
learn more about the breed, or for anyone who would simply like to
understand these affectionate, extraordinary dogs a little
better. You will learn that pit bulls make wonderful and loyal
family companions. Like all dogs, they require intelligent,
responsible, and dedicated ownership. Because of the breed’s undeserved
negative media image, pit bull owners have to be even more careful and
responsible than the average dog owner. They must also be aware of the
myths (urban legends, really) surrounding their dogs. Owners must be
well educated about bully breeds, because they will likely face
comments from friends, families, and neighbors.
Unfortunately, some people obtain pit bulls for the wrong reasons- to boost their own image, for dog fighting, or for backyard breeding—which makes life difficult for responsible owners. The good news is that pit bulls are now more popular than ever, and each good owner has an opportunity to reshape the breed’s image in positive ways.
